Easy Cheesy Chicken Crescent Dinner Rolls
This simple recipe is great idea how to use up leftovers chicken and make delicious meal for whole family in just 20 minutes.
In the first place, I simply love this kind of recipes. Mix up a few simple ingredients, pop in the oven and yummy dinner is ready. These Cheesy Chicken Crescent Dinner Rolls are even better and easier than any casserole dish that I love to make for dinner on a weeknight.
If you have a tube of crescent rolls and chicken leftovers in your fridge, you can make complete meal in less than half an hour.
To make the filling for these Cheesy Chicken Crescent Dinner Rolls I mixed shredded chicken breasts, shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese. I used softened cream cheese to bond all ingredients together and make the filling creamy and super cheesy.
In order to make the filling really flavorful I added some garlic powder because garlic paired perfectly with Parmesan chicken. Speaking about Parmesan, there is a lot of Parmesan sprinkled all over each roll. First I brushed each roll with melted butter and then top it with grated Parmesan cheese and dry Italian seasoning. As a result I got these delicious Cheesy Chicken Crescent Dinner Rolls.

Thanks Mary 🙂
Saved the recipe a few weeks ago and today we are inside due to several inches of snow so I thought a perfect time to try this new recipe. Oh my… they are delish. I added a little chopped onion to the mix because we just like a little onion. Really good and so very easy.
Thanks, I’m glad you like it. Onion sounds good!
Great idea adding onion. About how much did you add?

Made 24 for my family and then took them to church for our prayer group. Big Hit! I think though I will add chives and leave out the garlic powder next time. To reheat we used a pizza oven at church. This works much better than the microwave.
FYI
I tried to put 4 starts, but the system wouldn’t let me.

So amazing
A big hit at small Happy Hour!
Thanks Penny!
A very suprising meal with really simple and common items. I didn’t have mozza or parm but still great.
could i make this in a flat pan with a roll of cresent roll dough on the bottom, chicken mixture in the middle, and another cresent roll sheet on top?
Can you freeze the filling if you have some leftover?
Had no cream cheese and regular size crescents, but made it anyway. Also added some chopped up ham that I needed to use up. Added the Italian seasoning and onion powder to the mix. Turned out delicious!!
